21 Days of Declarations

21 DAYS OF PRAYER AND FASTING | We invite you into a 21 day commitment that is focused on abstaining from specific things in our life to focus more of our attention to God through prayer. Please use this page and a guide to help you experience more of God.

  • The power of prayer deepens our dependence on Him and sharpens our faith. When we pray we choose to put everything in God’s hands knowing that His hand will show up in every aspect of our lives and in those around us.

The act of prayer is what creates our intimacy with God. We can practice the spiritual habit of prayer knowing that our requests go to a God who hears us and who invites us to be intimately involved in His plan. For this reason, we pray in confidence knowing that our prayers are powerful and can bring about change in any circumstance.

There are no levels to this. We all can enter prayer with a posture of trust, openness, and faith, believing that God can do far more than we could even ask or imagine. It’s not about our circumstances, it’s about our heart stance.

  • Fasting is the ancient practice of choosing to abstain from food for a certain period of time. It is a spiritual discipline, the purpose of which is training to become more like Jesus. The motivation of our fasting is to draw closer to the heart of God. Fasting is a Christian discipline to break the power of the flesh in our life – our desires, sins, and cravings – and to feed on the Holy Spirit.

“Fasting helps us to express, to deepen, and to confirm the resolution that we are ready to sacrifice anything, even ourselves, to attain the Kingdom of God.” - Scot McKnight.

In summary, fasting is not about getting from God but it is about getting to God.

There are different types of fasting, and we recommend prayerfully considering which practice is best for you at this time.

  • LIQUID FAST: Consuming only liquids for a specific period of time

PARTIAL FAST: Abstaining from specific kinds of food or a specific meal.

TV/SOCIAL MEDIA: Choosing to abstain from certain technologies for a specific period of time.

God is my shield.  I am protected.

Psalm 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

Jesus Thank You for protecting me from things seen and things unseen. Thank You for being my shield. I pray right now that there is a hedge of protection around my life, around my family, around my fiances and everything that concerns me. I pray that the adversary will not come near my life and my home in Jesus name.

1/17

God is faithful and purifies me from my sin.  I am forgiven.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Lord, I repent right now of everything I’ve done knowingly and unknowingly. I know I’m forgiven and I live my life out of place of forgiveness. I place my life in your hands where you are more than capable of purifying me and cleansing me of all unrighteousness. I pray that I remain pure. I pray my focus can always be on You.

1/18

God has rescued me from all of my distresses. I am delivered.

Psalm 107:2-6 Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story— those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, 3 those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south. 4 Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle. 5 They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away. 6 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.

I declare I’m redeemed. I declare that my old life has no hold on me anymore in Jesus name. Thank You Lord for delivering me out of all the things the enemy has placed me in. Thank You for being so close when I call on You. I pray right now in Jesus' name that I can remain faithful to You. I pray my mind will always be reminded of your faithfulness towards me. Thank You Lord for saving me.

God rescues me from worrying, and I am not anxious.  I am a prayer warrior.

Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I declare that I am a prayer warrior. I pray that when the stresses of life come I’ll always turn to my savior. I pray that even on the mountain tops I’ll turn to Christ and pray and thank Him for His many blessings. I declare over my life and my family that we will always be grounded and rooted in God.

Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light on my path. Thank You Lord for guiding me every step of the way. You said the steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord. You’ve made me righteous by Your Spirit and You lead me exactly to where I want to be. Thank You Lord for removing things in my life that do not line up with Your will and Your Word and thank You for aligning me perfectly with Your plan.

1/22

God is my source.  I am connected to God and will bear fruit in Him.

John 15:1-2 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful.

I pray against any distractions over my life in Jesus name. I pray that my mind is focused on the Lord. I decree and declare that I’m connected to the vine and my life is fruitful. Nothing will take the place of God in my life and I'll always be connected to the vine.

1/23

God has forgiven me.  I will forgive those who have hurt me.

1/24

God made me in His image.  I am made on purpose for a purpose.

Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;  your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

I declare I’m made in the image of God and my life bears fruits of the Spirit. His Spirit guides me and gives me purpose that goes beyond my profession. I’m called and equipped to do everything that the Lord has placed me on this earth to do.

1/25

God is my healer.  I am whole in Him.

Psalm 103:1-5 Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. 2 Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, 4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, 5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

I declare that I’m healed of all diseases in my body. Lord, You are the great physician and can heal any sickness in my body. I declare that I’m healed and I’m whole. I declare that my body lacks nothing. Wholeness is my portion in Christ and I claim that and walk in it in Jesus name.

1/26

The Holy Spirit directs my steps.  God tells me which way to go .

Isaiah 30:21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

I declare that this year is the year I follow Jesus to a T. I hear His voice clearly and I follow after Him. Thank You Lord for making Yourself known to me this year and Thank You that Your voice is becoming more and more familiar to me. I pray that this year I will remain in Your Word and heed Your voice in all that I do.
